Gun Range Management Features Built for FFLs Who Run a Range
GunBiz POS is designed with the range management tools that shooting range operators need.
Gun stores that operate a range have to manage two businesses at once — retail sales and range operations — without losing time to paperwork or disconnected systems. GunBiz Range Management handles the operational side of running a range: signed liability waivers before a shooter ever steps on the line, lane and facility scheduling, a real-time range day dashboard, firearm rentals, and a direct hand-off to the GunBiz POS register for lane fees and rental charges. Below are the key range management features available to GunBiz POS customers.
Digital Liability Waivers
GunBiz Range Management integrates with OtterSign for digital liability waivers. A customer can't be assigned to a lane until they have a valid, signed waiver on file — the system checks automatically at the point of assignment, so staff never have to manually confirm paperwork before a shooter goes on the range.

Range Day Dashboard
The Range Day dashboard is the front-desk command center for a day at the range. It organizes shooters into simple, at-a-glance columns — new waivers signed today, shooters currently on the range, and completed visits — with tiles showing each customer's name, waiver status, membership standing, and register sync status. Staff can search the board by name or phone during busy stretches, and the board refreshes automatically without a manual reload.

Lane Assignment
From the Range Day dashboard, staff move a customer from a signed waiver straight into an assigned lane using the Assign wizard. Lane assignment is blocked until a valid waiver is confirmed, keeping every shooter on the range properly documented.

Lanes and Facilities Setup
Configure your range's physical layout — pistol lanes, rifle bays, classrooms — with clear naming so staff can quickly find the right lane on the assign screen. Facilities group lanes and classrooms together and set the operating hours that drive your facility schedule. Lanes under maintenance can be deactivated without losing historical visit data.

Facility Schedule
The facility schedule gives staff and management a day-to-day view of lane and classroom availability across the whole range, built from the operating hours configured for each facility.

Range Products
Set up SKUs for lane time, classes, and services directly in Range Management. Pricing itself is charged at the GunBiz POS register — Range Management stores the SKU and name, while GunBiz POS remains the source of truth for dollar amounts, keeping pricing consistent across your business.

Firearm Rental Pool
Maintain your fleet of rental firearms with SKU, description, and photo for each gun, and mark availability so front-desk staff can add rentals directly from the assign wizard or a visit's detail screen during check-in. Rentals flow through to the GunBiz POS tab along with the rest of the visit's range service charges.

Shared Customer Records
Range Management uses the same customer records as the rest of the GunBiz Hub, including Marketing Hub, so a shooter's range visit history and contact information stay connected to their broader customer profile rather than living in a separate silo.
